SAVAGE, Minnesota, November 15, 2016 – Beckhoff Automation LLC is pleased to announce that Doug Schuchart has been promoted to the position of Northeast Region Manager. In his new role, Schuchart now manages the Beckhoff Northeast Region direct sales team in the U.S., which supports machine builders, manufacturers and other high tech companies in the successful implementation of PC-based control and EtherCAT technologies. Schuchart also oversees strategies to increase acceptance and implementation of PC- and EtherCAT-based control technology from Beckhoff. The Northeast Region at Beckhoff Automation USA (BUSA) includes New England and the states of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C.
A nine-year veteran at Beckhoff, Schuchart was a Senior Sales Manager prior to his promotion, serving customers throughout the northeast region and managing sales and support activities in the company’s Mechanicsburg, Pa. field office. In this capacity, Schuchart helped drive significant sales increases at new and existing accounts while building the local Beckhoff support network. Schuchart has over 26 years of industrial automation experience with companies such as DuPont and the Hershey Foods Company. Schuchart has also held high level sales and management positions at a variety of machine builder OEMs and systems integration companies. Included in his experience, Schuchart was the General Manager of Device Bus Integration, Inc., President of the controls division of Delta Systems, Inc., and the National Account Manager for Tyson Foods, also at Delta Systems.

Schuchart is a graduate of York Technical Institute, with a degree in Specialized Technology (focused on electronic circuitry) and Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing, with further studies in Electrical Engineering at the University of Delaware. He has continued his educational development in the areas of management and accounting.
