SAVAGE, Minnesota, April 29, 2016 – Responding to dynamic business growth and acquisition of new customers at a rapid pace, Beckhoff Automation GmbH & Co. KG closed the 2015 financial year with 620 million euros in revenue. Beckhoff North America contributed to these results with an increase in revenue of 6.5 percent which followed a 16.2 percent revenue increase at the end of 2014. These positive business developments from Beckhoff North America were reported at a press conference held at Hannover Messe 2016 – the first year ever that the USA has been highlighted as the official partner country at the world’s largest industrial trade show.
The intense growth in revenue was fueled by a number of factors in the North American market, including robust automation and controls purchasing from the existing customer base and several significant new customer contracts, including dramatic increases on the part of major consumer products manufacturers. “Beckhoff North America also drove double digit growth in terms of order in-flow in 2014 and 2015,” reports Aurelio Banda, CEO and President of Beckhoff North America. “We expect this encouraging trend to continue throughout the 2016 financial year, resulting in further strong results.”
As positive business developments were readily apparent throughout 2015, Beckhoff Automation was highly active in adding infrastructure and employees. Most notably, the company just opened its new Silicon Valley Technical Center in San Jose, Calif. This 13,000 sq foot facility now serves as the hub of sales, engineering and customer training activity for Beckhoff customers across California. In terms of staffing, Beckhoff North America has recently added numerous additional direct sales managers and application engineers placed in key markets across the continent.
“These new additions to the Beckhoff team have already added a powerful boost to our technical expertise and our ability to capture even more new business in 2016,” explains Banda. “We have consistently achieved double digit percentage sales growth the past 13 years, clearly demonstrating the meteoric rise of Beckhoff Automation in North America as a premier PC-based controls vendor for manufacturers and machine builders of all sizes, in all industries. I see no end in sight as momentum builds and Beckhoff boldly moves forward as a dominant force in the automation and controls market. I think it is the most exciting time ever to be a Beckhoff customer and I am just as enthusiastic to serve our customers, new and long-established, with my colleagues in the Beckhoff team.”
Not content to stop with the most recent successes, next steps for Beckhoff North America in 2016 include additional regional offices scheduled to open in Texas and Ohio to best serve the growing customer base for Beckhoff products and services in these states. “Furthermore, our deployment of Internet of Things (IoT) and Industrie 4.0 solutions in North America has enabled our regional centers to collaborate more closely with our customers’ Smart Factory initiatives,” Banda adds. “As many already know, the USA is the official partner country at Hannover Messe 2016 so to address the needs of all in attendance, Beckhoff is highlighting already-available tools and products for IoT and Industrie 4.0, along with our company’s entire portfolio of IPCs, I/O, automation software and drive technology. We are also serving as host for attending customers from across the USA, Canada and Mexico at the world’s biggest industrial trade show as we speak.”For more information:
